This website is dedicated to Roy Collins and is a tribute to his life.
It tells the story of his service during WWII and the unimaginable hardship he and his comrades suffered as Prisoners of War on the Death Railway in Burma.
It also delves into the history of his family and records the progress so far in tracing both his and the present Collins family roots.
Roy passed away peacefully on Wednesday, AprilĀ 30th 2008 at his home surrounded by his family. His wife Dorothy passed away some five years later in July 2013.
He is survived by his two sons (Raymond & Stuart), two grandchildren (Jamie & Simon) and three great grandchildren (Jack, Joe and Emma).
Thank you for visiting our website and giving us the opportunity to share our family history with you.
